Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
• Create and execute UI automation, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks using Selenium, Java, TestNG/JUnit, and Maven.
• Analyze requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and automation scripts.
• Execute automated test suites, analyze failures, and identify application defects.
• Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as Jira and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
• Perform cross-browser testing and validate application functionality across different environments.
• Integrate automation test suites with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Maintain test documentation, execution reports, and automation results.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall testing processes.

Required Skills

• Strong programming experience in Java.
• Hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience with TestNG or JUnit.
• Good knowledge of Maven/Gradle and automation framework development.
• Experience in API testing using tools such as REST Assured or Postman is preferred.
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD.
• Good understanding of Git/GitHub/GitLab.
• Experience with Jira or similar defect management tools.
• Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, defect lifecycle, and test methodologies.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.Role & responsibilities
