HCL Looking candidate for Automation Ignition Developer

Working: Mon- Fri (No Hybrid) & Rotational Shifts

Experience Level: 2-3 years

Role Summary

• Develop SCADA/HMI applications using Ignition platform (Vision/Perspective).
• Leverage Python scripting and SQL databases to build real-time dashboards.
• Support smart factory and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop dashboards, configure tags, alarms, and device connectivity in Ignition.
• Write Python scripts for automation logic, event handling, and integrations.
• Design and manage SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/MSSQL).
• Develop SQL queries (joins, aggregations, stored procedures).
• Integrate PLCs, OPC-UA, MES/ERP systems with Ignition.
• Create reports and KPIs (OEE, downtime, production metrics).
• Support testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.

Technical Skills

• Python scripting (mandatory).
• Strong SQL query writing and database management.
• Basic to intermediate Ignition or SCADA platform experience.
• Understanding of OPC-UA/Modbus protocols.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript (optional).

Preferred Skills

• Experience in manufacturing / Industry 4.0 projects.
• Knowledge of MES systems and production KPIs.
• Exposure to REST APIs and system integrations.
