Automation Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join the Quality Engineering team. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing automated testing, running regular regression testing, and keeping the automation suite stable and reliable. Strong hands-on experience with Java, Playwright, and Selenium is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily regression testing to validate functionality and identify defects.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using Java and Playwright.
• Maintain and support existing Java-Selenium automation where required.
• Analyze automation failures and determine whether the cause is the application, test script, or framework.
• Fix flaky and unstable tests and improve the stability and execution efficiency of the suite.
• Update test cases as the application changes and convert repetitive manual testing into automated scenarios.
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams on regression coverage and document defects, scripts, and test processes.

• API testing with Postman or REST Assured.
• Agile/Scrum; large-scale web applications and enterprise testing environments.:
• Consistent daily regression testing and a well-maintained automation suite.
• Fewer flaky tests and better regression coverage.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in QA Automation / SDET / Automation Engineering.
• Strong practical experience with Java, Playwright, and Selenium.
• Candidates with experience maintaining automation suites for large or complex applications will be preferred.
