Roles and Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
• Assist with the preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Goods and Services Tax (GST) reports.
• Prepare trial balances, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Handle payroll-related accounting, PAYG withholding, and superannuation processes, where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Australian accounting standards and ATO requirements.
• Communicate with Australian clients to resolve accounting queries and obtain necessary documents.
• Maintain supporting documentation and meet reporting deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in Australian Accounting, bookkeeping, or international accounting.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, journal entries, and reconciliations.
