Australian Accountant / Bookkeeper | Xero & QuickBooks | Remote Work

Role & Responsibilities

An established Australian accounting practice is seeking an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper to work remotely from India on a long-term basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping using Xero and QuickBooks Online.
• Bank, credit card and loan reconciliations.
• Australian GST coding and BAS/IAS preparation support.
• Payroll processing, STP and superannuation reconciliations.
• Accounts payable and receivable.
• Preparation of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
• Year-end accounts and tax return workpapers.
• Tracking BAS, tax and ASIC compliance deadlines.
• Maintaining accurate client records and daily work reports.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 1-2 years of Australian accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Practical knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks Online.
• Understanding of Australian GST, BAS and payroll.
• Good Excel and English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
• Reliable internet connection and secure home workspace.
• Available to work during Australian business hours.
