AUS Accountant (Fully Remote)

We are seeking a detail-oriented, autonomous AUS Accountant to join our Professional Services team on a full-time, fully remote basis. This role is perfect for a self-motivated professional who thrives working independently from home. You will take ownership of core compliance, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting functions. While experience with the Australian tax system is highly valued, we are willing to train the right candidate who is a sharp, fast learner. As we operate globally, fluent written and spoken communication in both English and Hindi is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Tax Preparation: Prepare and review accurate annual income tax returns for various Australian entities (Individuals, Companies, Trusts, and Partnerships).
• Financial Statements: Compile comprehensive end-of-year financial statements, profit & loss reports, and balance sheets.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple client accounts to ensure complete ledger accuracy.
• Compliance Management: Assist with the preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Language Skills: Absolute fluency in both English and Hindi (written and verbal) is mandatory to communicate seamlessly with our diverse clientele.
• Software Skills: Strong hands-on experience operating Xero is preferred. You must be a quick learner capable of rapidly adapting to new tax or accounting software.
• Experience: Prior experience with Australian accounting and tax law is preferred but not compulsory. A strong foundation in general accounting practices is essential.
• Work Style: A highly independent individual with proven ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating accountability and strong time-management skills.
