Auditor (Electrical / Chemical) - JG

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat (travel as required)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Management Systems Auditor to plan, conduct and report audits of client organisations against international ISO standards. You will work independently with client teams across industries, delivering fair, consistent and high-quality audits in line with ISO/IEC 17021-1 and ISO 19011.

What You Will Do

• Review client scope, documentation and audit history before each audit
• Prepare risk-based audit plans, checklists and schedules
• Conduct Stage 1, Stage 2, Surveillance, Re-certification, Transfer and Special audits, on-site and remote
• Assess conformity to standards such as ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001, 22000 and 50001
• Run opening and closing meetings, gather objective evidence and record findings
• Write clear, accurate audit reports covering observations, nonconformities and improvement opportunities, and submit them on time
• Work with client teams across Quality, EHS, IT, HR, Operations and Management, explaining findings and next steps (without consulting)
• Maintain impartiality, confidentiality and ethical conduct
• Take part in calibration meetings, witnessed audits and refresher trainings
• Identify potential new client opportunities during audits and share leads with the business team

Who You Are

Education

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Chemical Engineering
• Additional technical certifications relevant to your sector are a plus

Certifications

• IRCA/CQI Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001, or willingness to obtain these before joining

Experience

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience (7+ years preferred)
• 15-20 third-party audits as Lead or Support Auditor (preferred)
• Exposure to any of these sectors is an advantage:
  • Electrical: Electrical & Electronics Manufacturing, Power & Energy, Automation, Renewable Energy
  • Chemical: Chemical & Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, Metals

Skills

• Strong knowledge of ISO standards and audit methodology
• Good understanding of ISO 19011 principles and sampling techniques
• Excellent communication, analytical and report-writing skills
• Ability to manage time and resources across multi-location audits
• Proficiency in MS Office

Travel

• Extensive travel (approx. 60-80%) across India, occasionally overseas
• Mix of on-site and remote audits
