Audit Team Head position For Retail Agri Lending Chennai

1. Core Regulatory & Compliance Expertise in areas of the regulatory landscape governing banking and agriretail credit. 2. Knowledge of RiskBased Internal Audit (RBIA) principles, scope, governance, independence, and riskassessment methodology as mandated under RBI Internal Audit Function Directions, 2026. 3. Priority Sector Lending (PSL) & Agri Lending Compliance Credit & Operational Process Expertise (Retail & Agri Lending): Indepth understanding of Agri loan origination, documentation, underwriting and duediligence norms. Retail credit processes including KYC, income assessment, field verification, collateral evaluation and portfolio monitoring. Familiarity with credit scoring models, risk triggers, exposure limits, renewal processes, and deviation management. 4. Government Subvention & Support Schemes: Expertise in major agricredit linked schemes such as Interest Subvention Scheme for ShortTerm Crop Loans, PMKisan Credit mechanisms, Priority-sector lending subsidies, agri infrastructure support. 5. Fraud Risk & Forensic Awareness: Agri and retail lending carry unique fraud risks; the audit head must be able to design and evaluate strong antifraud frameworks 6. Collections & Recovery Process Knowledge such as NPA identification norms, SMA tracking, asset classification norms, Challenges unique to agri borrowers (monsoon variability, crop cycles), evaluation of field collection processes, agency management, restructuring norms, Audit of writeoff processes, compromise settlements and rural recovery mechanisms etc. 7. Operational & Field Process Audit Expertise: Knowledge on Sanction, disbursement, documentation, chargecreation, Front-end / back-end processing controls and monitoring workflows 8. Risk Assessment & Audit Planning: Ability to design riskbased audit universe aligned with RBIs RBIA requirements. Prioritization of highrisk geographies, products, borrower segments and intermediated lending (NBFCs/MFIs). Integration of analytics, early warning indicators, and MIS validation. 9. Team Leadership & Governance Competencies: Experience leading multi-location audit teams. Ability to mentor auditors in retail/agri credit nuances, control testing, data integrity verification, riskbased sampling approaches 10. Reporting & Communication: Capability to prepare highquality audit reports aligning with RBI’s LFAR expectations (credit, operational, governance, IT areas). Ability to present findings to senior management, Board/Audit Committee and regulators. 11. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaising with business heads, credit teams, risk management, operations and compliance. Driving corrective action plans and tracking closure. 12. Technology, Data Integrity & Analytics Skills: Ability to audit loan management systems (LMS), core banking systems. Understanding of digital loan origination platforms, rural digital journeys, and automation. Familiarity with systembased control testing, transaction trails, and MIS validation
