Audit & Tax Associate

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in execution of statutory audits, tax audits, and internal/management audits, including vouching, verification, and preparation of working papers.
• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C) and reconcile GSTR-2B/2A with books of accounts.
• Support preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR), Tax Audit Reports (Form 3CD), and TDS returns.
• Maintain and finalize books of accounts in Tally, including bank reconciliation, ledger scrutiny, and finalization schedules.
• Assist in drafting replies to notices, appeals, and other correspondence with GST, Income Tax, and other regulatory authorities under supervision.
• Coordinate with clients for data/document collection, follow-ups, and timely resolution of queries.
• Prepare MIS reports, computations, and summaries using MS Excel and MS Word for internal review and client submission.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks in accordance with statutory due dates and internal quality standards.
• Support senior staff and partners during client visits, departmental hearings, and audits as required.
