Audit Manager (Statutory Bank Audit & Insurance)

Role & responsibilities

To manage and execute statutory bank audits and insurance audits, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, auditing standards, and reporting timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute statutory bank audit assignments.
• Conduct audits of bank branches, including advances, deposits, NPA classification, provisioning, and compliance checks.
• Review loan documentation, credit appraisal, security documents, and recovery status.
• Conduct statutory audits of insurance companies and review financial statements, accounting records, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with applicable RBI, IRDAI, and other regulatory guidelines.
• Identify audit observations, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Review audit working papers, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Lead and supervise audit teams and ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Coordinate with bank and insurance company officials, clients, and engagement partners.
• Ensure adherence to applicable auditing standards and professional requirements.

Educational Qualification

• Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
• CA candidates with relevant statutory bank audit experience may also be considered, depending on the role requirements.

Experience

• 13 years of relevant experience in statutory bank audits and/or insurance audits.
• Experience in a CA firm handling bank audits, concurrent audits, or insurance audits will be an advantage.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of statutory bank auditing and accounting standards.
• Good understanding of RBI guidelines and banking regulations.
• Knowledge of IRDAI regulations and insurance accounting.
• Team management and client coordination skills.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet strict deadlines.

Preference will be given to candidates with relevant statutory bank audit and insurance audit experience who can join immediately.
