About this role
Role Purpose Design, configure, and develop Atlassian Cloud solutions that improve workflow efficiency, service management outcomes, and user experience across Jira (JSW/JSM) and Confluence. Deliver high-quality automation, integration, and custom extensions using Atlassian Cloud capabilities (Automation, REST APIs, Forge/Connect where applicable), while maintaining security, performance, and governance standards.
Requirements
- 4–5 years of experience working with Jira/Confluence (with at least 2 years in Atlassian Cloud).
- Strong Jira Cloud configuration skills (workflows, schemes, permissions, notifications).
- Good JSM knowledge: portals, queues, SLAs, request types, forms, KB integration.
- Proficiency with Atlassian Automation and rule troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth/API tokens, webhooks Duties and Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities/Kras/Kpis Solution Delivery & Configuration
- Configure and enhance Jira Cloud (JSW/JSM) and Confluence Cloud: workflows, screens, fields, issue types, request types, SLAs, queues, forms, knowledge base structures.
- maintain project templates, schemes, and standards for consistent delivery.
- Implement and optimize Atlassian Automation rules (Jira Automation, JSM automation, Confluence automation where applicable). Development & Extensibility
- Use Atlassian REST APIs to implement integrations, scripted actions, data sync, and operational tooling. Integrations & Data
- Configure and support integrations with common enterprise platforms:
- Assist with migrations (not like-for-like but aligned to new cloud structures – which would be data only), data cleanups, and bulk changes (CSV import/export, API-driven updates, automation-based refactoring). Quality, Governance & Security
- Follow change control and platform governance: secure-by-design configurations, permissions models, audit-ready documentation.
- Limited based on products/app roles available in Cloud: Maintain role-based access, project permission schemes, and space permissions aligned to security requirements.
- Support platform operational hygiene: cleanup rules, archival policies, naming conventions, and performance best practices. Operations & Support Enablement
- Provide support for Atlassian Cloud-related incidents and problems.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement prevention improvements.
