Asst Manager - Benchmarking, Comp & Benefit

Job Summary

The Compensation & Benefits Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's compensation, benefits, payroll governance, and rewards programs. The role ensures that compensation practices are competitive, equitable, compliant with statutory regulations, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation Management

Develop and administer the organization's compensation and salary structure.

Conduct market benchmarking and salary surveys to ensure external competitiveness.

Review and recommend annual salary revisions, promotions, and incentive programs.

Prepare compensation reports and dashboards for leadership.

Payroll Governance

Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate salary disbursement.

Validate payroll inputs including attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, reimbursements, and statutory deductions.

Ensure payroll compliance with company policies and applicable labour laws.

Coordinate with Finance for payroll accounting and reconciliation.

Review payroll reports before salary release.

Statutory Compliance

Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, PT, Labour Welfare Fund, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act, Income Tax, and other applicable labour laws.

Coordinate statutory audits and inspections.

Maintain statutory registers and documentation.

Monitor legislative changes and update HR policies accordingly.

HR Analytics & Budgeting

Prepare HR cost analysis, compensation budgets, and manpower reports.

Analyse compensation trends, attrition costs, and salary competitiveness.

Experience

78 years of HR experience, with at least 6 years in Compensation & Benefits.

Experience managing payroll, insurance, compensation benchmarking, and statutory compliance.
