Your area of work: D7 is the platform of Clearstream that offers innovative services to its customers for the issuance of financial securities such as shares, warrants and funds. In other words – without the Issuance services, there would be nothing to trade on the German financial market, and the supply will get short for the international markets too. The D7 IT Team develops the next-generation software that enables our business colleagues and customers to boost volume and processing efficiency and as a result to increase revenue and decrease operational costs. As a DLT DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and secure infrastructure for enterprise-grade DLT platforms, including Ethereum-based networks. The components need to support fail-over, be highly scalable, secure and resilient under heavy load. You will be involved in all the aspects of the SDLC starting with initial relevant business requirements until the production deployment and including 2nd level production support.
Your responsibilities:
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for smart contract and DLT infrastructure deployments
- Integrate and operate SaaS-based blockchain platforms (e.g., Kaleido) within internal infrastructure
- Automate deployment and monitoring of blockchain nodes
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of DLT environments
- Integrate monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Grafana...) for blockchain networks
- Manage cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support development, testing, and release cycles
- Support incident response and troubleshooting different environments including Production
Your profile:
- University degree in computer science
- 9+ years overall professional experience in IT and DevOps engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with blockchain infrastructure (Hyperledger Besu, Ethereum, etc.)
Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration:
- ArgoCD
- Helmcharts
- Openshift/Kubernetes
- Github Actions
- Jenkins
- Cloud infra management
- Overall infrastructure overview (WAF, security, encryption)
- Scripting languages
- Infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform...)
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
- High degree of self-dependence – You are self-motivated, looking for opportunities to improve things or your own skills constantly. You take responsibility and are motivated to deliver.
- Team player – You are able to work with people of different backgrounds and personalities; you are happy to help and share your expertise. You appreciate the skills of others and ask for opinion or review easily.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills (German, French, Luxembourgish, or Czech is a plus)
- Previous experience in the financial sector
- Knowledge of Hyperledger Besu
- Experience with smart contract deployment workflows (hardhat, foundry)
- Knowledge of Ethereum standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, etc.)
- Familiarity with private/ public key management
- Experience with Kafka/MQ/OAQ
- Ability to motivate and steer people coming from different backgrounds (Dev, Business, Product etc.)
