Associate Vice President - Construction

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Planning, Monitoring & Cost Control

Review project plans, construction schedules and resource deployment while monitoring budgets, material consumption and manpower productivity.

Coordinate with planning, procurement and commercial teams to control costs, minimize wastage and rework, and address schedule deviations and cost overruns through timely corrective action.

• Construction Execution & Project Delivery

Oversee construction activities across all project sites, ensuring execution as per approved drawings, specifications, project schedules and quality standards & drive timely completion of project milestones and overall delivery commitments.

Monitor site progress, identify potential bottlenecks and implement corrective measures to minimise delays.

Ensure effective coordination between site teams and central functions to maintain smooth execution.

• Quality Assurance & Technical Compliance

Ensure construction adheres to approved architectural, structural and MEP drawings, technical specifications and quality standards across all sites.

Drive quality-control practices, resolve technical issues with design teams, and implement corrective and preventive measures to minimise defects and rework.

• Safety, Statutory Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure site safety, statutory compliance, safe working practices, and proper maintenance of site controls and compliance documentation.

Monitor construction risks and safety performance across projects, implementing timely corrective and preventive measures.

• Leadership & Team Management

Lead, train, guide and monitor all Site Heads, ensuring clear accountability for project progress, quality, cost and safety.

Establish performance expectations and review project-wise progress and team performance at regular intervals.

• Contractor & Stakeholder Management

Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards and contractual commitments.

Coordinate with internal departments and stakeholders to resolve execution issues, address escalations and ensure alignment on project priorities and delivery targets.

• MIS, Reviews & Continuous Improvement

Conduct regular project reviews with Site Heads and submit progress dashboards to the CTO covering timelines, costs, quality, safety and key risks.

Standardise construction processes and performance metrics while driving improvements in productivity, resource utilisation and overall project efficiency.

Job Requirements :

• 15-25 years of experience in construction or a related field.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
• Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements for real estate development.
