About this role
Job Title: Associate: DEC Top Day Clearing
Department: Derivatives Execution & Clearing
About Business line/Function: DEC and LD operations is part of CIB / Global Market Operations globally. Locally it is part of India services. Operations team is further divided into multiple functional pillars which provide service to the DEC and LD business that caters to the clients across the globe helping them execute and clear trades related to Futures, options and commodities and other type of derivative contracts.
The teams is responsible for smooth running of day today operations, processing activities such as confirmation, allocation, clearing, settling margin calls, reconciling trade, positions, cash market fees, brokerage. Team provides support across all regions APAC/EMEA/US. This team works very closely with other platforms and hub locations notably Lisbon, Singapore, London and US. Change and design role in DEC is responsible for consolidating and following up on the Ops and IT book of work to improve the process and tracking of the projects across the lifecycle and reporting to management.

Key Responsibilities

- Clearing experience
- Experience in listed derivatives products, working with Ops, BAs and IT
- ETD Clearing - Derivative product knowledge.
- Fundamental understanding of clearing/Futures & Options markets.
- Experience of commodity exchanges and CCP's platforms (preferable)
- Knowledge of Exchange traded derivative products /ETD Clearing.
- Bachelor degree, MBA, professional project management certification
- .Strong analytical and problem solving mindset
- Stakeholder management - Good communication skills
- ETD Clearing - Derivative product knowledge.
- Top day clearing, PFM, T+1 reconciliation, give in, give out, position transfer, closeout, quarterly expiry process on ETD.
- Fundamental understanding of clearing/Futures & Options markets.
- Experience of commodity exchanges and CCP's platforms (preferable)
- Knowledge of Exchange traded derivative products /ETD Clearing.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration - Demonstrated ability to work with IT, risk, operations and front‑office.
- Change & Adoption - Experience in designing and delivering training/communication plans to ensure user adoption of new processes or systems.
- Ability to use Excel at an intermediate level - essential
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills - essential
- High attention to detail and quality focused
- Be comfortable with escalation and managing issues as they arise
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university
- Strong Communication skills and client focus oriented
- Fundamental understanding of clearing /Futures & Options markets.
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
