Job Overview

The Associate Testing Engineer is an entry-level role designed for fresh graduates who are passionate about software quality assurance and testing. The role involves learning and applying testing principles to ensure software applications are functional, reliable, and meet business requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in executing manual test cases for web, mobile, and backend applications.
• Understand business requirements and convert them into test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing under guidance.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Work with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Ensure proper documentation of test results and defect lifecycle.
• Help in creating and maintaining test cases and test data.
• Execute test scripts and record results accurately.
• Update test cases based on changes in requirements.
• Work closely with development, business analysts, and QA leads.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings.
• Communicate testing progress and issues clearly to team members.
• Gain knowledge of testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
• Learn basic automation tools and scripting (as applicable).
• Stay updated with QA best practices and emerging tools.
• Ensure applications meet defined quality standards before release.
  
  

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree inComputer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related technical fields.
• Equivalent engineering degrees such as B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc (IT/CS) are acceptable.
• MCA graduates are also eligible.

• Freshers can apply
• Exposure to academic projects or internships in software testing, QA, or development is preferred.
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing lifecycle (STLC).
