Associate - Taxation (1-3 Years in Income Tax & GST)

Scope of Work

Direct Tax Responsibilities:

• 1st level review of Monthly TDS working and tax payments
• Co-ordinating on Quarterly filing of TDS returns and advance tax calculations
• Preparation and filing of annual income tax returns
• Managing regular income tax assessments and TDS assessments along with tax consultant
• Co-ordinating with various stakeholders and collating the required data
• TDS reconciliations and responding to tax authority queries/notices

Indirect Tax Responsibilities:

• Review and filing of Monthly GST return filing across all brands
• Maintaining robust documentation of the GST return workings.
• Reconciliation of GST returns with books of accounts and taking corrective actions
• Updating Additional Place of Business (APOB) for all brands across locations
• Responding to notices requesting documents and clarifications
• Managing GST audits and assessments across states

Other Responsibilities :

• Collating and providing data for various audits viz. Internal audit, Stat. Audit, etc.
• Educating and follow-up to ensure various compliances with Business and user teams
• Supporting brand team on new / exceptional transactions (viz. exports via Marketplace) and other tax queries
• Assisting Lead-Taxation in strengthening overall tax function

Qualification:

• B. Com. / M.Com/MBA
• Minimum 1 year+ of experience in Income Tax & GST
