About this role
Job Purpose
As part of the NDS BUC team, the role is responsible for monitoring NDS business performance through accurate preparation, analysis and timely reporting of NDS financials. The candidate is expected to maintain strong control over the P&L and balance sheet, and provide meaningful financial insights to business stakeholders. The role works closely with NDS Business, Data Chapter, Finance BUCs and Cost teams to support profitability analysis, reporting discipline, productivity tracking, cost transparency and senior management reviews.
Key Accountabilities and Requirements
End‑to‑end preparation & oversight of monthly and recurring business finance reports. Provide detailed and insightful financial information to enable management to drive NDS & branch profitability, cost efficiency, better productivity and business efficiency. Support cost, productivity and branch profitability analysis, including segmental and geographical views where required. Enhance the reporting framework through sharper visuals, trend articulation, stakeholder-aligned metrics and meaningful financial insights. Continuously improve reporting processes through automation, AI-enabled analysis, stronger controls and effective collaboration across teams. Act as a finance business partner to NDS, Business, HR, Data Chapter, Finance BUCs and Cost teams by providing analytical insights and decision support. Strong financial control through adherence to accounting standards, policies, and governance frameworks. Maintain high standards of data integrity, analytical rigor, and attention to detail. Job Duties & responsibilities
Prepare, review & deliver key NDS reports including Overall Financial MIS, Branch-wise P&L, Dashboards, Monthly presentations, Flash / Forecast within agreed timelines. Prepare other recurring monthly reporting such as Gold Loan & TD Maturity, branch-wise budget vs actuals and associated business finance analyses. Track balance movement, fee income and cost trends as key business drivers for branches and derive analytical insights through review of performance trends. Prepare and continuously enhance the NDS pack and other management reports to incorporate sharper insights, graphical representation and stakeholder-critical metrics. Perform prior-period restatements for comparability, including changes in NDS reporting perimeter, cost classification & branch categorization, within agreed timelines. Add deeper business granularity to reporting, including performance split by various categories and inclusion of related indices in branch profitability tracking. Work with Data Chapter & business teams to refine productivity dashboards at portfolio and resource level, including performance insights to evaluate network productivity. Assist in improving cost processes, perform cost-based analysis as required and support refinement of branch-level segment cost workings using Reginal outputs. Facilitate monthly NDS management reviews by preparing comprehensive data, profitability updates, branch performance insights and senior management packs. Ideate and publish impactful analyses or insight reports that add business value and support profitability improvement across the network. Explore AI-driven and automation opportunities for recurring reporting processes and additional analyses to improve quality, efficiency and turnaround time. Track and explain monthly variance analysis (vs budget / runrate / prior year) Support strong internal controls by ensuring documentation, reconciliations, and explanations are robust Ensure accurate accounting treatments in line with applicable accounting standards and internal policies. Coordinate with BUC / MIS / AP / Cost teams to resolve accounting or reporting issues. Support team deliverables and mentor junior members, while continuing to upskill on relevant finance, analytics, automation and AI capabilities. Required Experience
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in finance, business finance, FP&A, controllership, MIS or management reporting roles. Prior exposure to banking / financial services , preferably Retail, SME or branch banking finance, would be preferred. Experience in P&L reporting, cost analysis, variance analysis, dashboards, budgeting, profitability analysis or senior management reporting. Experience working with large data sets, cross-functional stakeholders and recurring monthly reporting cycles under tight timelines. Education / Preferred Qualifications
Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory. Strong foundation in financial accounting, management accounting, cost accounting and financial analysis

Strong analytical & logical reasoning skills with high attention to detail & data accuracy. Ability to convert financial data into clear business insights, trend narratives and actionable recommendations. Quick learner with the ability to understand branch banking drivers, profitability levers and stakeholder priorities. Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders. High ownership, accountability and ability to manage multiple recurring deliverables under tight timelines. Strong problem‑solving and collaborative mindset with willingness to understand root cause and implement sustainable mutually beneficial solutions.
Technical Competencies
Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, cost concepts, financial statements and management reporting . Solid understanding of P&L, balances, profitability analysis, cost analysis and variance tracking . Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for financial models, pivots, lookups, data analysis and report automation using VBA (Macros) and Copilot (AI). Proficiency in MS PowerPoint with good language skills for management packs and executive presentations. Ability to work with extremely large MIS data sets, branch-level information and large system outputs. Keen interest and working knowledge of AI / automation tools to improve reporting quality and turnaround time. Understanding of systems such as Hyperion / Celerity / Qlikview would be a bonus.
