Associate Software Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Associate Software Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in programming, problem-solving, and software development fundamentals, along with a willingness to learn new technologies and contribute to real-world engineering projects.

You will work closely with experienced engineers to design, develop, test, debug, and maintain scalable software applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications based on business requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and best practices.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and technical issues.
• Develop and integrate APIs and work with databases.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
• Write unit tests and support application testing and debugging.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, development tools, and software engineering practices.
• Contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, or C#.
• Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing fundamentals.
• Basic knowledge of REST APIs and web development concepts.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and work with new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship experience or academic project experience in software development.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot, React, Angular, Django, or similar technologies.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or automated testing tools.
• Contributions to GitHub projects or participation in coding competitions.
