About this role
We are looking for an Associate Product Manager to help own Creative AI — a product that takes a brand and turns out finished ad creative (images, resizes, videos, reels, UGC) that actually looks on-brand rather than generic AI output. A lot of it is already live and producing real client work, but it is a deep, fiddly product with many models working behind the scenes, and today most of it runs through a small number of people. We need someone to get into the weeds: write the specs, review the real output with a critical eye, catch what is broken, and help push the roadmap from "powerful but hand-held" toward something a marketer or our creative team can run smoothly every day. This is a genuine hands-on, learn-by-doing role. You will not be handed a finished playbook — you will help write one. It is ideal for someone early in their product career with strong taste, attention to detail, clear writing, and real curiosity about where AI creative is heading. Key Responsibilities
- Write clear specs, user stories, and tickets that turn fuzzy ideas into work an engineer can build without a dozen follow-up questions
- Review creative output with a critical eye — running new features and fixes through their paces, catching garbled text, off-brand colours, and broken layouts, and writing up exactly what is wrong with examples
- Observe the creative team and clients using the tool to find where it slows them down, and turn those frictions into prioritised fixes
- Support the product roadmap by keeping the backlog groomed and honest, tracking what is shipping against the plan, and flagging slips and mismatches with real customer needs
- Drive recurring customer asks (PSD and open-file support, push-to-platform, better voiceovers, quick-commerce formats) from a vague wishlist into scoped, prioritised work
- Coordinate across engineering, the creative team, and the senior PM — keeping everyone pointed at the same thing and unblocking small issues before they grow
- Document how the model-heavy pipeline and features work, so product knowledge stops living only in a couple of engineers' heads Required Prerequisites
- 2-4 years of experience — a strong recent graduate, someone moving into product from design, marketing, or a creative or analyst background, or an early-career PM looking to go deep on an AI product
- A demonstrable eye for visual and creative quality — you notice when something looks off (kerning, a slightly wrong logo, a layout that does not breathe)
- Strong written communication, with the ability to make fuzzy things concrete in specs, bug reports, and summaries
- Genuine curiosity about AI products and how generation pipelines and models work, even without a coding background
- Strong organisation and follow-through, with a habit of turning chaos into a tidy list and closing things out
- Comfort with ambiguity and speed in an early, fast-changing product Core Competencies & Skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality judgment, which matters more than almost anything on a creative product
- Practical familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, v0, or similar for research, documentation, and prototyping
- Clear written communication for specs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and bug reports
- Ability to simplify complex AI outputs and multi-step pipelines into clear, understandable user experiences
- Customer-first working style with comfort joining demos, onboarding calls, and feedback sessions
- Basic technical fluency — enough to understand why a pipeline has multiple steps and what each model is doing
- Practical judgment around AI products, including reliability, quality checks, approval flows, and usage cost
- Comfort working in a fast-moving startup with changing priorities and early-stage product assumptions
- Nice to have: a background or strong interest in design, advertising, or marketing; hands-on experience with creative tools (Figma, Canva, Photoshop, or AI tools like Midjourney, Runway, or Kling); and a side project, design, or campaign that shows you can take an idea to done
