About this role
About Wippi At Wippi, we are building India's first AI-companion for children. Wippi is a physical storytelling player that brings imagination and curiosity to learning and playing with AI. No screens. No scrolling. Just a child, a story, and a world that opens up every time they press play. We are building an ecosystem that puts childhood wonder, imagination, and learning before engagement metrics, shaping the future of healthy, screen-free childhood experiences.
About the Role We are seeking a Product Manager / Associate Product Manager who is passionate about creating magical, engaging, and educational product experiences for kids, who can join immediately at our office in Bangalore. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of hardware, AI-driven software, and content. You will own product features from conceptualization to launch, working closely with engineering, content creators, design, and marketing. If you love solving complex product problems, think deeply about user psychology (both parents and children), and want to build a truly unique e-learning and entertainment platform, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Own the feature lifecycle from ideation, user research, and PRD writing to final delivery and optimization for our hardware/software ecosystem.
- Feature Discovery & Execution: Work closely with the team to design delightful, intuitive experiences for kids and seamless, high-trust dashboards/apps for parents. Execute UI/UX changes when required, build and deploy internal tools.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with backend/embedded engineers (Node.js/Python), AI/ML teams, hardware designers, and content writers to ensure seamless integration of physical components and digital audio pipelines.
- User Insights & Feedback: Conduct regular user testing and feedback loops with parents and children to translate qualitative insights into high-value product iterations.
- Data-Informed Prioritization: Set clear metrics visualisations (retention, learning outcomes, play completion rates) without compromising our ethos of keeping kids safe and screen-free.
- Product Launch Support: Collaborate with the marketing and brand team to successfully launch new audio cards, smart figurines, and companion application updates.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management (PM) or Associate Product Management (APM) in a fast-paced B2C startup environment.
- Strong product sense with an innate ability to draft detailed, clear, and comprehensive PRDs.
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional product development cycles using Agile methodologies.
- Exceptional empathy for customers, ability to understand both the buying persona (the parent) and the consuming persona (the child).
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with tools like Datastudio and BigQuery to derive user behavior insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to align multidisciplinary teams (engineers, creatives, and marketers).
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to operate effectively in an on-site, agile startup environment in Bangalore.
- Vibecoding experience to deploy low fidelity features and internal tools.
Preferred / Bonus Skills
- Experience in building e-learning, EdTech, or digital entertainment products explicitly tailored for preteens/kids.
- Prior experience with hardware-software integrations, IoT products, or physical toys.
- Familiarity with AI-driven voice technologies, prompt engineering, audio-streaming architectures, or conversational AI interfaces.
Who You Are
- You think beyond typical screens, you design for physical interactions, voice, audio, and imagination.
- You enjoy working in ambiguous environments and building systems from the ground up.
- You are deeply curious about early childhood development and how technology can positively aid it.
- You value high craftsmanship, user delight, and intentional design over short-term engagement hacks.
- You like to go into detail and build user empathy
- You believe in extreme ownership, automation, and continuous learning.
Location & Type
- Location: Bangalore (Koramangala)
- Type: Full-time | On-site | 6 days working
