Associate Manager - Materials Management

Total Experience: 5-12+ years

Education: MCOM/ MBA (Material management)

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise store workmen, staff, assign tasks, and assist in training.
• Conduct regular physical counts, cycle counts, and reconcile with system records.
• 100% physical vs. record compliance, meticulous data entry.
• Ensure the store premises are clean, organized, and safe.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials against purchase orders.
• Arrange storage in designated areas, ensuring proper identification (Lot No.).
• Issue materials to production/subcontractors
• Manage dispatch of Stock transfer material, verifying documentation and packaging.
• Maintain accurate store records (GRNs, stock registers, returns).
• Process Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and updatew ERP/software in real-time.
• Generate reports (consumption trends, stock status) for management.
• Implement stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) and prevent obsolescence.
• Liaise with Procurement for timely material replenishment and vendors for deliveries.
• Coordinate with Production for material requirements.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality (ISO), and environmental standards (5S).
• Scrap management
• Manage tools, equipment, and returnable materials.
• Efficiency: Streamlined receiving, storage, and issuing processes.
• Cost Control: Minimizing stock loss, optimizing space, timely reordering.
• Safety: Strict adherence to handling guidelines for all materials, including hazardous ones.
