Your Role As a Data Engineer at Uptitude, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising data pipelines and data infrastructure that empower analytics, machine learning, and operational reporting. You’ll collaborate closely with analysts, BI engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to build the backbone of our clients’ data capabilities.
Mid-Level Data Engineer (2–3 Years Of Experience)
- 2-3 years hand-on experience in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and architectures.
- Deep proficiency with Azure-based data services (e.g., Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Azure SQL), as well as modern ETL/ELT frameworks.
- Proven self-sufficiency: ability to own features or subsystems through design, implementation, and production support.
- Strong data modelling, performance optimization, and data quality practices (including testing, validation, and monitoring).
- Mentor junior engineers on best practices, code quality, and learning agility.
- Able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into data solutions.
- Adaptive learner: quickly master new technologies/tools as dictated by project demands.
- Initiative and accountability for project deliverables.
- Awareness of data governance and ISO 27001 concepts.
