Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Automation Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and logical reasoning skills with hands-on experience in automation testing frameworks and tools. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications.

- Create and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test data.

- Develop and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium and Cucumber.

- Implement and maintain BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) frameworks.

- Validate API and messaging integrations using JSON-based request and response structures.

- Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to identify and resolve defects.

- Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and sprint activities.

- Prepare test execution reports and provide quality metrics.

- Ensure testing best practices are followed throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong logical reasoning and analytical problem-solving skills. (Logical reasoning assessment may be conducted during the selection process.)

- Good understanding of JSON messaging concepts.

- Basic knowledge of Core Java programming.

- Strong understanding of BDD Framework concepts.

- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber.

- Experience in writing and executing SQL queries for database testing.

- Understanding of software testing methodologies, STLC, and defect lifecycle.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.

- Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.

- Understanding of test reporting and logging frameworks.
