Assitant Manager - Production

Purpose/Objective

To ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials required for cement manufacturing through effective procurement planning, supplier coordination, inventory management, logistics monitoring, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Monitor and plan raw material requirements such as Limestone, Gypsum, Fly Ash, Slag, Coal, Pet Coke, Iron Ore, and other additives.
- Coordinate with plant operations, mining, logistics, and procurement teams for timely availability of materials.
- Track inventory levels and maintain optimum stock to avoid production disruptions.
- Manage supplier coordination, delivery schedules, and dispatch follow-ups.
- Analyze consumption trends and prepare material requirement forecasts.
- Monitor material quality parameters in coordination with Quality and Production teams.
- Track procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Prepare MIS reports related to inventory, consumption, procurement, and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
- Support contract management, vendor evaluation, and supplier performance monitoring.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification - B.
E.
/B.
Tech (Mechanical, Mining, Chemical, Industrial Engineering) or - MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management/Operations (Preferred) Experience - 5 to 8 years of experience in Raw Material Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Plant Operations.
- Preference for candidates from Cement, Mining, Power, Steel, or Process Industries.
