Assistant Vice President - Partner Acquisition - Mutual Fund Distributor

Role Overview:

As an AVP - Mutual Fund Distributor - Partner Acquisition, you will spearhead the strategic expansion of our distribution network in Mumbai, acting as the primary architect for scaling our partner ecosystem. You will work closely with independent financial advisors, wealth management firms, and internal product teams to drive business growth and market penetration. Your day-to-day involves identifying high-potential distribution partners, navigating complex onboarding processes, and fostering long-term relationships that translate into significant AUM growth. By bridging the gap between our investment solutions and the end-investor through a robust partner network, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the firm's market footprint and achieving aggressive revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute comprehensive partner acquisition strategies to onboard high-quality mutual fund distributors, ensuring a steady expansion of our distribution footprint in the Mumbai region.

- Manage the end-to-end client onboarding lifecycle, streamlining documentation and compliance workflows to minimize turnaround time and enhance partner experience.

- Drive deep client engagement by conducting regular product training, market insight sessions, and portfolio reviews to ensure partners are well-equipped to represent our offerings.

- Collaborate with internal Mutual Fund Operations teams to resolve partner queries and operational bottlenecks, ensuring seamless service delivery and high partner satisfaction.

- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to refine acquisition tactics, ensuring our value proposition remains compelling in a highly competitive landscape.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing Mutual Fund Operations and partner acquisition cycles, with a proven track record of scaling distribution networks in the financial services sector.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, allowing you to build trust with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making at the partner level.

- Strong analytical mindset to interpret business data and market trends, enabling you to make informed decisions that drive sustainable AUM growth.

- Ability to navigate high-pressure, target-driven environments while maintaining a focus on regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

- A postgraduate degree in Management or Finance from a premier institute is highly preferred, reflecting a strong foundation in financial markets.

- Comfortable working in a high-energy, on-site environment in Mumbai, with the agility to manage multiple partner relationships simultaneously.

- Possess 7 - 15 years of relevant experience in the mutual fund or wealth management industry, showcasing a consistent history of achieving business objectives.
