Assistant Vice President, IT Development

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Techno Functional Project Manager to lead strategic technology and compliance transformation initiatives within a highly regulated environment.

The role requires strong expertise in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), CKYC, CERSAI integrations, customer onboarding, regulatory reporting, compliance risk management, and audit governance, combined with proven project/program delivery capabilities.

The incumbent will act as the key link between Business, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Technology teams and external vendors, ensuring all solutions meet regulatory expectations, operational objectives, and enterprise technology standards.

Role & responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance Programs (Primary Focus)

AML, CKYC & CERSAI

• Lead end-to-end implementation, enhancement, and modernization of AML, CKYC, and CERSAI-related technology platforms.
• Drive customer screening, customer risk categorization, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with RBI, FIU-IND, PMLA, CKYC Registry (CERSAI), and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Manage CKYC integration processes including:
• Customer data validation
• CKYC record generation and modification
• Data quality controls
• Regulatory submission timelines
• Exception handling and reconciliation
• Collaborate with Compliance and Risk teams to translate evolving regulatory requirements into scalable technology solutions.
• Drive automation initiatives to strengthen compliance monitoring, customer lifecycle management, and regulatory reporting.
• Support AML investigations, alert management, risk scoring, sanctions screening, and suspicious transaction reporting processes.
• Ensure regulatory controls are embedded within system design, workflows, and operational processes.
• Serve as the primary technology liaison for Compliance, Risk, Operations, Business, and external regulatory solution providers.

Program & Project Management

• Own end-to-end delivery of enterprise technology programs from requirements through implementation and stabilization.
• Lead planning, budgeting, resource allocation, governance, and stakeholder communication.
• Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while ensuring delivery within scope, timelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project execution methodologies as appropriate.
• Establish project governance frameworks, steering committees, and executive reporting mechanisms.

Digital Platforms & Enterprise Applications

Corporate Website & Digital Platforms

• Lead development, enhancement, and governance of corporate digital platforms.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, accessibility, branding, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Compliance, Information Security, and IT teams.

Learning Management Systems (LMS)

• Manage LMS platforms supporting compliance training, mandatory certifications, and regulatory learning programs.
• Drive learning analytics and user adoption initiatives.
• Space & Workplace Management Systems, Infrastructure Maintenance Management, and Infrastructure Project Management
• Oversee implementation and optimization of workplace and facility management platforms.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Manage relationships with regulatory technology vendors, system integrators, CKYC/CERSAI partners, and third-party service providers.
• Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs, compliance obligations, and vendor performance metrics.
• Engage with senior business leaders, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to drive timely decision-making.
• Present project status, key risks, regulatory impacts, and mitigation plans to executive leadership and governance forums.

Preferred candidate profile

• 10+ Years (preferably 12-18 years in BFSI/Financial Services with 5+ years in Project/Program Management roles)
• 5+ years of experience leading end-to-end project/program delivery for compliance, risk, or regulatory initiatives.
• Hands-on experience in AML, CKYC, KYC/CDD, Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening, Regulatory Reporting, and Compliance Risk Management.
• Experience implementing or enhancing enterprise compliance platforms, RegTech solutions, and workflow automation programs.
• Strong understanding of RBI, FIU-IND, PMLA, CKYC Registry, and related regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
• Expertise in SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Experience driving business process transformation, governance frameworks, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance programs.
