Assistant To Legal Head - RE Contracts

• We are looking for a proactive and experienced Assistant to Legal Head RE Contracts to join the Multicon Group in Kolkata.
• The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience with strong exposure to real estate legal matters, while also supporting the Groups other business entities.
• The role involves handling legal research, due diligence, drafting, compliance, and dispute resolution, with a primary focus on property-related matters.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : -

• Handle and maintain in-house legal documentation and records for real estate matters.
• Draft, review and coordinate real estate agreements, contracts, MoUs, lease agreements, sale/conveyance documents and related documents.
• Ensure proper file management and timely updating of legal/property files.
• Support property documentation and due diligence, including title documents and related records.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants and external legal counsel for documentation and contractual matters.
• Track documentation status, pending actions, renewals and important timelines.
• Support the Legal Head in RERA, property-related compliance and other real estate legal matters.
• Coordinate with external lawyers for litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters.
• Draft legal notices, petitions, and responses for property and business disputes.
• Manage filings with courts, tribunals, and authorities.
• Keep track of legal developments impacting real estate and other business sectors of the Group.

SKILLS:

• Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
• LLB (Bachelor of Law) from a recognized institution; Bar Council enrolment preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in legal roles, with substantial exposure to real estate-related legal matters.
• Strong knowledge of RERA, Transfer of Property Act, Rent Control Act, Stamp Duty, and Documentation.
• Proven skills in contract drafting, due diligence, litigation support, and compliance management.
• Ability to handle diverse legal work across multiple industries.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
