Assistant Store Manager / Store Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily store operations and ensure smooth functioning of the store.
• Support in achieving monthly sales targets and improving store performance.
• Supervise store staff, allocate daily tasks, and monitor productivity.
• Ensure excellent customer service and resolve customer queries or complaints efficiently.
• Maintain proper stock levels, coordinate inventory management, and avoid stock discrepancies.
• Monitor product display and ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained.
• Handle billing, cash management, POS operations, and daily sales reporting.
• Ensure store hygiene, cleanliness, and overall presentation standards.
• Coordinate with warehouse/logistics teams for stock replenishment.
• Track customer feedback and suggest improvements to enhance customer experience.
• Support hiring, training, and onboarding of store staff when required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and operational processes.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in handling a retail team and managing customer-facing operations.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and store sales processes.
• Good communication and team management skills.
• Hands-on experience with billing software/POS systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong problem-solving and customer handling skills.
