Assistant Service Manager Automobile Dealership

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Service Manager in managing day-to-day service department operations.
• Monitor vehicle service, repair and maintenance activities to ensure timely delivery.
• Allocate jobs to Service Advisors and Technicians based on workload and expertise.
• Ensure proper diagnosis and quality repair of vehicles.
• Monitor Workshop Productivity, Efficiency, Labour Sales and Customer Satisfaction.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure quick resolution of service-related issues.
• Monitor Job Cards, estimates, approvals, billing and vehicle delivery processes.
• Coordinate with Parts, Sales, Warranty and other departments for smooth operations.
• Ensure warranty claims and related documentation are completed properly and on time.
• Monitor workshop manpower, attendance, performance and productivity.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with Service Advisors and technicians regarding pending jobs.
• Ensure compliance with company/OEM service processes, SOPs and safety standards.
• Prepare and review daily/monthly service department MIS reports and KPIs.
• Support the Service Manager in achieving monthly revenue and customer satisfaction targets.
• Maintain proper housekeeping, safety and discipline within the workshop.

• Knowledge of MS Excel and service/workshop management systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
