Job Purpose

To drive sales and business development for service-related solutions in the water and wastewater treatment sector by developing new customers, managing existing accounts, generating service contracts, and achieving assigned sales and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for water and wastewater treatment services.

• Generate leads through customer visits, references, market research, tenders, and networking.

• Promote service offerings such as Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), Operation & Maintenance (O&M), plant servicing, maintenance, chemicals, consumables, spares, and equipment upgrades.

• Manage existing customer relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business and cross-selling.

• Understand customer requirements and coordinate with technical/service teams to propose appropriate solutions.

• Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and service contracts in coordination with the concerned teams.

• Follow up on enquiries, quotations, negotiations, purchase orders, and payments.

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

• Conduct regular customer meetings and site visits to understand operational issues and identify service opportunities.

• Coordinate with engineering, operations, procurement, finance, and customer service teams for smooth execution of orders.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and emerging opportunities in the water-treatment service industry.

• Participate in customer presentations, technical discussions, negotiations, exhibitions, and industry events.

• Maintain accurate sales pipelines, customer records, enquiry status, and sales forecasts.

• Ensure timely renewal of AMCs and other recurring service contracts.

• Support collection of outstanding payments from customers in coordination with the finance team.

• Prepare regular sales reports and provide updates to management.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong B2B sales and business development skills.

• Good understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and equipment.

• Knowledge of industrial/commercial water-treatment plants, preferably RO, DM, ETP, STP, UF, softening, filtration, and related systems.

• Customer relationship management and negotiation skills.

• Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to prepare quotations and commercial proposals.

• Strong follow-up and target-oriented approach.

• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to travel extensively for customer visits and business development.

Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in sales, must in water treatment, wastewater treatment, industrial services, O&M, AMC, or related engineering industries
• Experience in selling service contracts, consumables, spares, or maintenance services will be preferred.
