Assistant Sales Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

• Generate and convert leads for life insurance products through the direct sales channel.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales and premium targets.
• Handle customer interactions, understand their insurance requirements and recommend suitable products.
• Follow up with prospective customers and convert leads into policies.
• Support the Sales Manager in managing and monitoring the sales team.
• Track daily team activity, lead status and sales performance.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with customers and ensure smooth policy issuance.
• Assist in training and mentoring new sales team members.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and improve lead conversion.
• Prepare daily/weekly sales reports and share performance updates with management.
• Ensure compliance with company processes and insurance sales guidelines.

Candidate Profile

• 15 years of experience in Life Insurance Sales / Direct Channel Sales.
• Experience in team handling or sales coordination will be preferred.
• Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
• Target-oriented with good sales and negotiation abilities.
• Experience in lead generation, follow-up and conversion.
• Candidates from Life Insurance, General Insurance, Banking, BFSI or Financial Services can be considered, depending on the requirement.
