Role Description The Assistant Sales Manager – BOI Vehicle Loans will be responsible for driving sales of vehicle loan products, managing customer acquisition, and supporting branch and field teams in meeting disbursement targets. This full-time, on-site role based in Thiruvananthapuram involves engaging with prospective customers, explaining loan features, eligibility, and documentation requirements, and ensuring a smooth application and approval process. The role includes maintaining strong relationships with automobile dealers and other partners, coordinating with Bank of India branches for lead management, and tracking sales performance against defined goals. The Assistant Sales Manager will handle basic credit understanding, support marketing activities, prepare periodic sales reports, and ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and quality standards. The role also requires proactive follow-up with customers, resolving queries, and contributing to a customer-centric sales culture.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong sales and business development skills, with experience in retail lending or financial products (vehicle loans experience preferred).
• Candidates should possess customer relationship management and communication skills, including the ability to explain financial products clearly and handle customer queries professionally.
• Candidates should possess basic credit assessment and documentation skills, with an understanding of loan eligibility, risk indicators, and compliance requirements.
• Candidates should possess negotiation and partnership management skills to work effectively with automobile dealers, referral partners, and branch teams.
• Candidates should possess analytical and reporting skills, including comfort with MS Office tools and the ability to track and report sales performance metrics.
• Graduate degree in any discipline is required; a degree in finance, commerce, business management, or a related field will be an added advantage.
• Prior experience in banking, NBFCs, or financial services in a sales or relationship role will be beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Thiruvananthapuram, meet field travel requirements, and maintain high ethical standards aligned with Bank of India's values.
