Assistant Project Manager

Project Manager Telecom Site Deployment & Quality (COW / Tower Projects)

We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager to lead end-to-end deployment of COW (Cell on Wheels) units and fixed telecom tower sites. This is a field-execution and quality-driven role, not a network operations or NOC role. You will run deployment teams on the ground, own MIS and reporting, enforce quality and safety standards, and act as the primary interface with our key client, Indus Towers.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute COW deployments and tower site rollouts from site readiness to handover, on time and within scope
• Lead and manage field teams, riggers, technicians, vendors and subcontractors, including daily work allocation, attendance and productivity tracking
• Build and maintain MIS trackers and dashboards in Excel covering site status, team productivity, material reconciliation and billing milestones. Submit accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports to management and the client
• Conduct and coordinate site quality audits, snag lists and closure checks against Indus Towers and industry checklists
• Enforce EHS and safety compliance on every site, including PPE, work-at-height, electrical safety and permit-to-work. Investigate incidents and drive corrective actions
• Maintain complete site documentation: ATP, handover records, photo evidence, audit reports and compliance records
• Serve as the single point of contact for Indus Towers for project updates, escalations and audit observations
• Flag risks and delays early, with clear mitigation plans

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience in telecom site deployment, tower rollout, or infrastructure project execution (passive infra, civil/electrical installation, I&C)
• Proven experience managing field teams of 10+ people and multiple vendors at the same time
• Advanced Excel is mandatory: pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formatting, data validation, and building MIS dashboards from scratch. Candidates may be tested.
• Hands-on experience in quality audits, site inspections or safety compliance. Candidates from third-party quality/audit agencies or TPI (Third Party Inspection) firms serving telecom operators or tower companies are strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of EHS standards.
• Experience working with Indus Towers, ATC or other tower companies is preferred
• Willing to travel extensively to sites
• Degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Electronics/Telecom) preferred

This role is not suited for candidates whose experience is mainly in NOC, network monitoring, RF optimization, transmission planning, or desk-based operations without field deployment responsibility.
