Role & responsibilities

• GITAM (Deemed to be University) invites applications for a full-time position at the rank of Professors, Associate Professors & Assistant Professors in Computer Science Engineering. We are seeking a scholar with expertise in
• Theoretical Computer Science (Algorithms, Complexity, Graph Theory, Formal Methods), Systems and Architectures (Networks, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, Distributed Systems, Cloud Computing, Blockchain)
• Cyber Security and Cyber Physical Systems (IoT, Sensor Networks, Edge Computing)
• Data Structures & Databases

Preferred candidate profile

• Develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies that enhance student learning and engagement and create, update, and maintain comprehensive course materials, including syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments.
• Utilize technology and digital tools to facilitate effective learning environments, including online and hybrid course formats.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback to support their academic growth.
• Establish a robust research agenda in areas such as artificial intelligence, cyber security, software development, data science, or other emerging fields in computer science.
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
• Mentor and guide graduate students in their research projects and thesis.
• Pursue external funding opportunities from government agencies, industry partnerships, and private foundations to support research initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to foster interdisciplinary research projects.
• Participate actively in departmental, college, and university committees to contribute to academic governance and policy-making.
• Support accreditation processes and contribute to program assessment and continuous improvement efforts.

Experience:

• Assistant Professor:
• 05 years of experience
• Associate Professor:
• 6–8 years of experience
• Minimum 1 PhD scholar (awarded or thesis submitted)
• Professor:
• 10–12 years of experience
• At least 4 years as Associate Professor
• Minimum 3 PhD scholars awarded or 2 awarded and 1 thesis submitted
