Assistant Professor

Role Description This full-time, on-site Assistant Professor/Tutor Nursing role is based at Karunya Hospitals in Coimbatore. The role involves planning and delivering nursing education sessions, tutorials, and clinical instruction for nursing students and trainees. The professional will supervise clinical practice, assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and support learners in developing clinical and critical thinking skills. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, coordinating with clinical departments, updating teaching materials based on current nursing standards, and contributing to academic activities such as seminars and workshops. The role also includes mentoring students, maintaining accurate academic records, and participating in quality improvement initiatives related to nursing education.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Training skills for classroom and clinical instruction.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with students, colleagues, and clinical teams.
• Recognized nursing qualification (e.g., B.Sc Nursing or M.Sc Nursing) from an accredited institution.
• Valid nursing registration with relevant professional or regulatory bodies.
• Experience in academic or clinical teaching in nursing is preferred.
• Knowledge of current nursing practices, patient safety standards, and evidence-based care.
• Ability to work collaboratively, demonstrate professional ethics, and support diverse learners.
