Assistant Professor of Decision Science

The

Assistant Professor of Decision Sciences will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in areas such as Business Analytics, Statistics, Operations Research, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence for Business, Supply Chain Analytics, and Decision Support Systems. The role includes preparing course materials, developing and updating curriculum, mentoring students, supervising projects and internships, and supporting academic and examination activities. The incumbent is expected to undertake quality research, publish in reputed journals, participate in faculty development programmes, and contribute to consultancy, industry collaborations, and institutional development initiatives. The Assistant Professor will actively support accreditation, quality assurance, and the integration of emerging analytical tools and technologies into teaching and research.

Essential Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Decision Sciences, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, Data Science, Management, or a closely related discipline (or as per UGC/AICTE norms).
• MBA/PGDM or Master`s degree in a relevant specialization.
• Qualifications and experience as prescribed by UGC/AICTE and university regulations.

Key Competencies:

• Strong teaching and communication skills.
• Research aptitude with potential for quality publications. (Scopus/WoS)
• Knowledge of analytical and statistical tools such as R, Python, SPSS, SAS, Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.
• Student mentoring and academic guidance.
• Commitment to innovation in teaching, teamwork, professional ethics, and continuous learning.
