Assistant Physician

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment under their supervision.
• Record patient history, clinical findings and vital signs.
• Conduct preliminary patient evaluations and assist in clinical examinations.
• Monitor patients' clinical conditions and report significant changes to the treating physician.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining patient medical records and clinical documentation.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Assist with ward rounds, follow-up consultations and discharge procedures.
• Educate patients and their attendants regarding treatment plans and follow-up care, as directed by the physician.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control practices and patient safety protocols.

Eligibility Criteria

• B.Sc. Physician Assistant or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Minimum 1 - 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Good clinical knowledge, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Patient-focused approach with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
