Assistant Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Job Purpose
To develop, design, review, and execute lighting design solutions for interior, exterior, street lighting, and highway infrastructure projects, ensuring optimal illumination, energy efficiency, safety, and compliance with applicable standards.
2. Key Responsibilities

1. Design interior, exterior, street, and highway lighting systems as per project requirements and applicable standards.
2. Prepare lighting layouts, illumination calculations, lux level reports, and detailed design documentation.
3. Develop and review lighting design drawings using AutoCAD.
4. Perform lighting simulations and illumination studies using DIALux 4.13.
5. Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, and lighting design reports.
6. Coordinate with electrical, civil, architectural, and project execution teams.
7. Review lighting drawings, calculations, and technical submissions to ensure design accuracy.
8. Ensure compliance with relevant IS, IRC, and project-specific standards.
9. Provide technical support during project execution and resolve site-related lighting design issues.
10. Optimize lighting designs for energy efficiency, uniformity, visibility, and road safety.

3. Mandatory Skills & Technical Competencies

• DIALux 4.13: Strong working knowledge of interior, exterior, street, and highway lighting design and simulation.
• AutoCAD: Proficiency in preparing and reviewing lighting layouts, electrical drawings, and design details.
• MS Office: Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for calculations, reports, and presentations.
• Illumination Calculations: Strong understanding of lux levels, uniformity ratios, glare control, and lighting design parameters.
• Highway Lighting: Knowledge of road lighting design, pole positioning, mounting heights, spacing, and illumination requirements.
• Project Coordination: Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and manage design deliverables.

4. Preferred Experience

• Experience in NHAI, National Highway, Expressway, and Infrastructure projects.
• Exposure to highway and street lighting design projects.
• Knowledge of relevant IRC, IS, and international lighting standards.
• Experience in design consultancy or infrastructure project organizations.
