Assistant Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Software & Application Management: Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot business software, enterprise applications, HRMS, ERP systems, and other organizational tools.
• Software Implementation: Lead the implementation, configuration, testing, and deployment of new software applications and technology solutions.
• IT Operations: Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including hardware, software, network connectivity, system access, and technical support.
• System Integration: Coordinate the integration of different software applications to improve data flow, operational efficiency, and reporting.
• Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve software, application, system, and user-related technical issues within defined timelines.
• Database & Reporting: Support database management, data backup, system reporting, and maintenance of data accuracy and integrity.
• Automation & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline internal workflows using appropriate software and digital tools.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with software vendors, service providers, and external technical teams for implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and issue resolution.
• IT Security & Compliance: Ensure appropriate access controls, data protection, software licensing compliance, cybersecurity practices, and regular data backups.
• Team & Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with internal departments to understand their technology requirements and provide effective IT solutions.
• Documentation & Training: Maintain IT documentation, software manuals, system configurations, and user guides; conduct training sessions for employees on new applications.
• Technology Upgrades: Evaluate emerging software, tools, and technologies to recommend solutions that align with organizational requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of software applications, operating systems, and IT infrastructure.
• Experience in implementing, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise software and business applications.
• Familiarity with HRMS, ERP, CRM, project management, and other business productivity tools.
• Working knowledge of databases, SQL, APIs, and software integration concepts.
• Understanding of networking, cloud-based applications, cybersecurity, and data backup processes.
• Knowledge of automation tools, scripting, or programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and IT reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
