The candidate should have strong knowledge and hands-on experience in:
• Ferrous & non-ferrous materials and their properties
• Metallurgical principles & material characterization
• Heat-treatment processes and their impact on material properties
• Surface treatment & coating processes
• Chemical composition amp; material analysis
• Metallography amp; microstructural evaluation
• Hardness & mechanical property testing
• Failure analysis & Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Testing methods, standards, specifications amp; acceptance criteria
• Laboratory equipment operation, calibration & maintenance
• Metallurgical laboratory instruments – Hardness Tester & Microscope
• Drawing, material specifications & customer-specific requirements
• Statistical tools amp; basic data analysis for laboratory/testing results
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and applicable ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
