Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Production to manage and improve washing machine assembly line operations. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, line management, manpower utilization, quality, productivity and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day washing machine assembly line production activities.
• Ensure production targets are achieved as per plan and schedule.
• Handle manpower planning, allocation and productivity.
• Monitor line efficiency, cycle time, OEE, productivity and rejection.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Stores and other functions for smooth production.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Drive Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions and safety standards.
• Monitor process quality and minimize defects, rework and rejection.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and MIS.
• Support new product introduction, line setup and process improvements.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate/Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering.
• 7–12 years of experience in production/assembly operations.
• Experience in washing machine, home appliances, consumer durables or electrical/electronics manufacturing preferred.
• Strong experience in assembly line production and manpower handling.
• Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, OEE and production planning.
• Strong problem-solving and team-management skills.
