Assistant Manager

Role & responsibilities:

• Manage operation and maintenance of plant utility systems including Boilers, HVAC, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air Compressors, WTP, RO, and DM Plants.
• Ensure uninterrupted availability of utilities to support manufacturing operations.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance activities.
• Drive energy efficiency, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, ISO, and statutory requirements.
• Manage utility manpower, contractors, budgets, inventories, and critical spares.
• Monitor utility KPIs, prepare reports, and lead utility-related projects and expansions.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience in Utility Operations within Pharmaceutical, API, Chemical, Biotech, or Process Manufacturing industries.
• Strong knowledge of Boilers, HVAC, Chillers, Compressed Air Systems, Water Treatment Systems, and Utility Distribution Networks.
• Experience in maintenance planning, energy management, project execution, and team leadership.
• Familiarity with GMP, EHS, ISO, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
