Assistant Manager

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Identify sustainable, long-term cost saving opportunities by leveraging all available value drivers.
• Develop and govern procurement strategies aligned with annual budgets and spend management goals.
• Conduct spend analysis and monitor indirect procurement categories to optimize costs.
• Build and manage strategic vendor relationships, ensuring quality, service, reliability, and future scalability.
• Lead annual price negotiations, service agreements, and cost reduction initiatives to achieve savings targets.
• Develop procurement strategies for:
  • IT (Hardware, Software, Network, Services, Licenses)
  • Corporate Services (Facilities, Security, Canteen, Transportation, Contingent Labour, etc.)
  • Professional Services (HR, Legal, Audit, Travel, Admin, etc.)
  • Real Estate related expenditures
• Assess supplier and supply chain risks and implement appropriate risk mitigation measures.
• Govern vendor selection based on technical capability, financial stability, and business requirements.
• Collaborate with Cross Functional Heads, HR, IT, Legal, and Finance teams to define requirements, review spend, and execute projects.
• Ensure vendor due diligence and compliance with SAP processes and documentation requirements.
• Review and manage procurement contracts, contract compliance, change orders, and dispute resolution in coordination with legal teams.
• Drive supplier performance management through regular reviews and governance mechanisms.
• Cascade and monitor performance objectives for the procurement team and key suppliers.
• Define and implement people and capability development objectives for assigned categories.
• Champion digitization initiatives, catalog management, and Source-to-Pay (S2P) automation.
• Establish category budgets, monitor spending, and ensure budget adherence.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, service delivery, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.
• Promote best practices in procurement governance, supplier management, and strategic sourcing.

Job Requirements :

• 7-12 years of experience in IT procurement or related field.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, procurement administration, and service procurement best practices.
• Proven track record in managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
