Qualifications / Personal Attributes

• B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• 6-10 years of experience in battery manufacturing, with significant exposure to plate generation operations.
• Strong understanding of plate production processes, process optimization, and quality management.
• Experience in manpower planning, shift management, and resource allocation.
• Sound knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Working knowledge of ISO systems, EHS standards, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to lead teams and drive operational excellence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead plate generation operations to achieve production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Ensure adherence to approved manufacturing processes and product quality standards.
• Manage manpower deployment, machine utilization, and resource planning across shifts.
• Monitor key process parameters and implement corrective and preventive actions for deviations.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, planning, SCM, and EHS teams for smooth operations.
• Drive productivity improvement, cost reduction, and waste elimination initiatives.
• Lead the implementation of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and operational excellence projects.
• Ensure full compliance with ISO, EHS, and statutory requirements.
• Review production performance, prepare reports, and present improvement plans to management.
• Develop team capability through training, coaching, mentoring, and performance management of operators and supervisors.
• Support new projects, capacity expansion activities, and process improvement initiatives.
