Assistant Manager Utilities & Instrumentation (Solar Cell Manufacturing)

As an Assistant Manager – Utilities & Instrumentation, you will lead the operation, maintenance, and optimization of utility and instrumentation systems to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe manufacturing operations. Experience in TOPCon Solar Cell Manufacturing is preferred.

• Manage plant utilities including HVAC, Chillers, Cooling Towers, CDA, Vacuum, DI Water, and Gas Systems.
• Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for utilities and instrumentation.
• Ensure high equipment uptime, reliability, and energy efficiency.
• Oversee calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instruments, PLCs, SCADA, and automation systems.
• Drive energy-saving, cost-reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and EHS teams to support manufacturing operations.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
• Prepare maintenance MIS reports, utility performance reports, and improvement plans.
• Lead and develop teams while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
• 8-11 years of experience in Utilities & Instrumentation, preferably in TOPCon/PERC Solar Cell Manufacturing or process industries.
• Strong knowledge of utility systems, PLCs, SCADA, automation, and instrumentation.
• Experience in reliability engineering, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
