Assistant Manager/Sr Executive - Lasting

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor production plans to achieve output, efficiency, and seamless workflow across processes
• Oversee lasting operations to ensure product quality, alignment, and consistency
• Drive in-process quality control, resolve defects, and improve Right-First-Time (RFT)
• Manage manpower, including deployment, performance, and skill development
• Ensure machine efficiency through maintenance coordination and downtime reduction
• Control material availability, consumption, and adherence to FIFO/traceability practices
• Lead continuous improvement, safety compliance, and maintain reporting/MIS systems

Key Requirements

• Bachelor s Degree / Diploma in Footwear Technology, Leather Technology, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering
• 5-10 years of experience in footwear manufacturing, with minimum 3 years in lasting operations.
• Strong knowledge of leather, synthetics, toe caps (steel/composite), counters, insoles, adhesives, and safety shoe standards.
• Experience working in PU injection / DIP shoe environments preferred
