Assistant Manager - Service Support Management

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice to customers, dealers, distributors and sales personnel responding to product related questions, issues and problems.
• Provide sales personnel with technical data necessary for the demonstration of products.
• Act as a liaison between sales personnel and technical staff.
• Be responsible for architecting solutions, conducting product demonstrations and providing technical inputs towards proposals.
• Ensure policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, clients and stakeholders.
• Be involved in setting goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.
• Apply knowledge to practical issues often relating to more than one functional area.
• Provide overall direction for complex activities, providing guidance and inputs for a medium-sized project or multiple small-sized projects.
• Adapt to various communication styles and interpret non-routine and conflicting information.
• Manage, coach and mentor junior team members.
• Provide inputs on appraisals and feedback to employees.
• Allocate work and ensure delivery within defined timeframes.
• Interact with internal and/or external clients to negotiate and interpret information on projects and unit operations.
• Consult with senior management, as required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 6 years prior relevant experience.
