Assistant Manager - Service (Gear box & Gear Motors)

Role & responsibilities

1. Customer Service & Complaint Handling
• Handle customer complaints related to gear motors, gearboxes and power-transmission equipment.
• Provide timely technical support and ensure complaints are closed within agreed TAT.
• Maintain good customer relationships and provide regular service updates.

2. Breakdown & Troubleshooting

• Visit customer sites for breakdowns, inspections and troubleshooting.
• Identify causes of gear tooth failure, bearing damage, overheating, vibration, noise, oil leakage, seal failure and shaft damage.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions.

3. Installation & Commissioning

• Supervise installation and commissioning of gearboxes and geared motors.
• Ensure proper alignment, mounting, coupling, lubrication and operating conditions.
• Verify performance after commissioning.

4. Root Cause Analysis

• Conduct RCA and failure analysis for major and recurring failures.
• Prepare technical reports with findings and recommended corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Design, Quality and Production teams for permanent solutions.

Preferred candidate profile

Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics or related discipline.

Experience: 612 years in industrial gearbox, geared-motor, power-transmission or mechanical equipment service.
