Job Description: The role holder will execute regional material planning activities for assigned plants and materials, ensuring timely replenishment, accurate system planning and proactive resolution of supply exceptions. The role will work closely with plants, suppliers, Procurement, Logistics and Warehousing to maintain material availability within agreed inventory norms.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare material requirements for assigned plants and materials based on production schedules, demand signals and inventory norms.
• Monitor daily inventory, open purchase orders, in-transit stock and supplier commitments to prevent shortages.
• Create purchase requisitions and coordinate with Procurement for timely PO conversion and follow-up.
• Share call-offs and delivery schedules with suppliers and transporters and track adherence through material receipt.

Flag supply shortages, delays and abnormal consumption; support recovery plans and timely escalation to the Regional Planning Manager.

• Coordinate with Production, Warehousing, Logistics and Quality teams to resolve material-flow and receipt issues.
• Execute stock transfers between plants and central warehouses based on approved allocation plans.
• Review excess, obsolete and slow-moving inventory and maintain action trackers for liquidation or consumption.
• Maintain SAP/ERP planning data and prepare reports on material OTIF, inventory-norm adherence, stock-outs, call-offs and planning exceptions.

Key Stakeholders: Regional Plants, Procurement, Production, Logistics, Warehousing, Quality, Suppliers and Transporters

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or a related discipline
• 3-5 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, procurement coordination or supply chain operations
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or a high-volume production environment preferred
  

Preferred Skills/Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of materials planning, inventory control and MRP processes
• Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems, Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and follow-through
• Effective communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to manage daily priorities and resolve planning exceptions in a time-sensitive environment
